A Francois Linke Armoire. Paris, circa 1880s. Bois de violette, bois de bout floral marquetry on satine veneers, ‚bŠne and buis stringings, fleur de pˆcher marble top, signed F. Linke to the right-hand side espagnolette. There is no glass negative in the Linke Archives for this unusual model. Linke rarely made a four door side cabinet as with the present lot, although the bronzes and marquetry and consistent with Zwiener?s influence on Linke?s early work.
