A Napoleon III Gilt Bronze Mounted Famille Rose Porcelain Bowl, Second Half of the 19th Century. Decorated in the Rose Canton pattern, the interior and exterior painted with melon shaped reserves filled with alternating vignettes of courtly figures and various flower, bird, and butterfly groups, surrounded by gilt ground band of flowers, butterflies and flowerheads, the pierced rim flanked by upright square handles hung with laurel garlands, raised on a circular foot with outstepped block feet.
