The Kidney- shaped top fitted with a tooled trellis- pattern brown leather writing surface, above a frieze with five drawers, raised on cabriolle legs headed by acanthus-cast capitals and beneath a ram’s mask, terminating on hoofed feet, the lock plate of the central drawer signed and inscribed E. LEGER & CIE/R, Amelot, 64, Paris.
